These are sprites of the main character in my current project when he takes damage from enemies.

This is not an animation these are sprites to display the character when he takes damage. The game is set up where there is a 3 hit health point system and 1 point of damage will show the characters armor breaking off. Then when he takes damage by the third hit point he will be defeated shown by the last three sprites above.
